Summary: A top pharmaceutical company in Northern New Jersey is seeking to hire an Associate Director of Drug Safety, a newly-created strategic position that will have direct reports, have domestic and global responsibililties for both clinical and marketed Rx products, and report to a Sr. Director. Location: Northern, NJ location that is also easily commutable from many areas in New Jersey, New York City, New York State and Connecticut

Compensation: Base compensation will likely be in the 120s to high 130s plus excellent and consistently-paid double digit annual bonus plus long-term incentive plan plus great 401(k) matching plan and other excellent bonus.

 

Responsibilities: This newly created position, reporting to a Sr. Director, will be in charge of both marketed drugs and drugs in clinical research. Responsibilities will include: Defining policies and processes that will ensure the receipt, review and reporting of safety information for both Marketed and Investigational Products to meet all company and domestic/global regulatory requirementsGuiding direct reports in the implementation of procedures to ensure compliance with SOPs and to meet domestic/global regulatory timelines as well as commitments to co-marketing partnersIdentifying areas for staff training and process improvement by conducting periodic reviews and data audits of various functional areas of responsibility Determining and implementing policies for the distribution of reports and case information to internal and external entities (i.e. clinical research, drug safety, co-marketing partners, etc.)Creating appropriate format and content for international regulatory reportsEvaluating data management practices to ensure the systems implemented are in compliance with GGP guidelines and applicable validation requirements.

Requirements:BS/BA required, with advanced degrees a plus.6-10 years of applicable drug safety experience.International drug safety experience a plusDrug safey regulatory reporting requirement experience (i.e. for AEs and product complaints) with both clinical and marketed drugs is a plus.This position will have direct reports. Direct report or supervision experience is a plus.Experience with preparation of regulatory reports and verbally interviewing and/or providing medical information to health care professionalsExperience with regulatory and other audits of process and data
