Associate Dir., Tax Compliance & Accounting

This positiion will coordinate the company's U.S.- based tax compliance functions directing issues with ongoing federal and key state tax audits while assisting in the review of tax accruals in accordance with FAS 109, FIN 48. Secondary responsibility for the company's effective tax rate.

Support the Tax and Accounting function in all phases of Financial Statement Reporting of Disclosure Requirements.

Responsible for oversight of tax compliance function including reviewing/supervising all U.S. federal, state, and local tax returns and coordinating the preparation of all international tax compliance work.

Assist the Sr. Dir., Tax with various aspects of corporate transactions such as tax due diligence, business development and other identified projects. Such projects will include foreign legal reorganizations, E&P study, and federal and state tax examinations.

Serve as primary interface between the company and its global tax advisors regarding tax accounting reporting and compliance issues and related engagements.

Experience in federal and SALT examinations including work paper preparation, negotiation, and handling all phases of the examination process.

BS and CPA or MS or advanced degree in law required.

Strong tax background in both Federal and International planning for corporate income tax.

Demonstrated technical competence in and an in-depth knowledge of U.S. tax law required.

Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective communications among the Tax and Finance teams including other business disciplines such as legal and commercial operation required.

Demonstrated effective leadership skills and an ability to operate in a fluid and changing business environment.

Demonstrated effective skills as a self-starter.

Demonstrated effective PC skills in Word and Excel.

Demonstrated responsibility for own continued education.

Working knowledge of Global Transfer Pricing.

Strong interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills.

Working knowledge of SAP, TaxStream, and In-Source is a plus.

Approximately 15% domestic and international travel required.
