POSITION SUMMARY:

 

 

 

 

As a member of the Clinical R & D team, this individual will be responsible for conducting statistical genetic analysis in support of clinical research studies and product development.   The Biostatistician will interact closely with internal staff  and external collaborators.  Strong problem solving abilities will be necessary to address a myriad of challenging issues, both analytical and technical.  MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct statistical genetic analysis (e.g., regression analysis, predictive modeling) to support clinical research studies and product development

  Provide support for design of clinical studies including power and sample size calculations

  Collaborate with corporate and academic partners on projects involving shared data analysis

  Assume responsibility for data validation and reconciliation

QUALIFICATIONS:

PhD or ScD in Biostatistics or related field with at least 1 year of experience or M.S. in Biostatistics with at least 6 years of relevant experience or a BS/BA with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.  Level of position to commensurate with experience.  Must be familiar with methods used in the analysis of genetic data. Should be proficient in industry standard analytical tools, such as SAS, S-Plus, R or S-plus or related programming language is required.  EOE
