Associate Director/Director, Finance (Job Requisition #43)

 

Overview:

Seeking a senior individual who has the ability to effectively participate in and manage the finance and cost accounting activities in support of Isis Manufacturing.  This individual will have comprehensive financial responsibility including, but not limited to, financial planning, financial reporting and analysis, cost accounting, ensuring financial integrity and proactive business partnership with the functional leaders across the entire Manufacturing organization.  This position will develop and drive processes and systems required for the effective management of manufacturing costs, material movement, and inventory.  Also entails, ad-hoc analysis and presentations as assigned or requested. 

 

Significant experience supporting a manufacturing organization is required in the areas of manufacturing cost accounting, inventory management, and manufacturing support systems.  Strong system orientation and experience required.

 

Individual must be able to exercise sound judgment with appropriate weight given to the needs of the company and individual functions within the company. Knowledge of financial modeling techniques required. Strong computer skills required, especially in the use of spreadsheet software.  The position requires effective interpersonal, oral, written and presentation skills, as well as leadership qualities, as this position is expected to exert significant influence throughout the organization. Ability to meet frequent deadlines and to perform responsibilities within tight schedules is important. 

 

This role is a key leadership position.

 

Job Complexity:

Individual is expected to work at the senior management level on complex problems, business processes and organizational issues, and to contribute regularly both at the tactical and strategic levels.

 

Discretion:

Individual exercises judgment to determine appropriate action, while taking into consideration implications to currently defined practices and policies. Expected to recommend and implement appropriate actions outside of defined policies or precedent when necessary. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve goals may result in serious delays in corporate objectives or significant impact to organizational efficiency.

 

Interactions:

Frequently interacts with executive management, functional area heads, department managers and project team leaders. Interactions require the ability to influence decision-making and gain cooperation in a matrix environment.  Also includes interactions with collaborative partners, peer groups and other possible outside entities.

 

Minimum requirements:

-Experience: 12+ years of relevant experience

-Bachelor’s Degree required in Finance or Accounting

-Working knowledge of GAAP

-Strong written and oral communication skills

-Manufacturing and cost accounting experience

-MBA and/or CPA required
