We are looking for sales/bus dev professionals who have experience cultivating business development projects within the health economics, outcomes research, analytics, and epidemiology sectors of healthcare. Summary Description:This position is responsible for the cultivation and sale of our clients research and evaluation consulting services, with focus on development of new business. The Business Development (BD) Director must be an experienced and professional sales person who demonstrates knowledge of offerings and can leverage technical resources to help architect a value-added portfolio of solutions to targeted clients. This is a highly visible position, reporting directly to the Senior Vice President. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manage a predefined territory and designated accounts, selling our clients consulting services with the goal of securing long-term relationships. Conduct territory analysis and develop market business plans to ensure full coverage of the market and to meet targeted revenue objectives. Understand prospective client’s business requirements and appropriately match our clients services and solutions to meet the prospect’s needs. Effectively articulate and package our clients services and solutions to maximize receptivity by clients. Leverage appropriate company diverse consultant specialists as effective selling resources. Build a pipeline of qualified prospects to achieve the goals and objectives of our clients annual revenue plan. Identify, evaluate, and recommend strategic alliances; leverage a manageable portfolio of alliance partnerships. Promote and market our clients services to accelerate client acceptance. Generate and distribute introductory marketing letters and other communications (e.g., emails), advertising notices (media kits, press releases, presentation packets), concept sheets, proposal and contract agreements, and follow up communications for project kick-off meetings. Participate or lead business development focused strategic team and client meetings. Serve as a liaison between project team and client for effective client relations building ad identification of new opportunities with existing clients. Requirements: Minimum 3 years BD experience in the health care sector, preferably within major accounts. Bachelor’s degree, advanced degree preferred (in business, nursing, pharma, public health or related area). Experience working at a consultancy capacity in the health care industry. Must have a demonstrated track record of success developing major account relationships in large. Diversified accounts, with skills including cold-calling, identifying new business and prospecting qualified decision makers /economic buyers. Unyielding drive in closing high revenue and long-term strategic business relationships. Must be a self-starter, goal-oriented, able to work with a high degree of autonomy and deliver on commitments. Professional appearance, poise, & confidence, coupled with exceptional client relationship and presentation skills. Proactive and dynamic personality, with highly developed written and verbal skills. Exceptional organizational skills for the coordination of events and flawless execution of business plans. Significant ability to think and work strategically, possessing exceptional interpersonal, communication, presentation and motivational skills Unquestioned integrity and values, as well as outstanding intellectual capacity in this highly visible position. Strong negotiation skills; must be able to analyze, structure, and effectively negotiate contracts that promise positive ROI for company and client partners. Flexibility to travel as needed. Compensation: Up to $110k-120k base + uncapped commission.Base salary commensurate with experience plus aggressive, high leverage commission and bonus pool.
