Associate Director, Health Economics and Pricing - (Job Number: 0708939) DescriptionJohnson and Johnson Pharmaceutical Services, LLC, a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting for an Associate Director, Health Economics & Pricing. Johnson and Johnson Pharmaceutical Services, L.L.C. (J&JPS), is a legal corporate entity encompassing a unique group of five business units that provide leadership of critical business processes across the Pharmaceutical business segment of Johnson & Johnson. The business units that make up J&JPS include the following: Pharmaceuticals Group Strategic Marketing (PGSM); CNS/IM Communications; U.S. Pharmaceutical Procurement Group (USPPG); Pharmaceuticals Group Business Development (PGBD); and Global Health Economics and Pricing (HE&P). The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic planning and implementation of health economics programs for 1-2 pharmaceutical products (and all related indications) in the R&D pipeline within the biotech/cardiovascular therapeutic area. For the assigned product(s), the Associate Director Health Economics serves as the leading resource in health economics and initiates most actions with respect to health economic issues. In this function, the Associate Director Health Economics is the key contact person supporting economic program development (cost-effectiveness or budget impact models, Pricing & Reimbursement dossiers etc.) and their implementation for local operating companies worldwide. Key responsibilities include: Development of appropriate strategies for economic and quality of life evaluation of pharmaceutical products for purposes of quantifying their value, supporting pricing and reimbursement arguments, and ensuring product differentiation within clinical trial program. Management of health economics studies within and outside of clinical trials including the preparation of economic and quality-of-life study protocols, supervise development of case report forms, statistical analyses plans, and monitoring plans. Exploration and implementation of database and epidemiological research as needed to support value quantification. Supervises & develops user-friendly cost-effectiveness and budget impact models. Actively participates in various R&D clinical & commercial teams for product(s). May also interact with Phase IV Medical Affairs teams on health economics/outcomes studies. This position can be located in Chesterbrook or Horsham, PA. A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required. A minimum of a PhD, PharmD, MD, or M.Sc. in appropriate field (Epidemiology, Health Economics, Economics/Commerce, Public Admin/Health Services Research) with equivalent level of professional experience is preferred. A minimum of 3 years experience in the pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry is required. Experience working with health economics within the pharmaceutical industry is preferred. Good understanding of the global reimbursement environment is preferred. Experience with building global/ regional health economics & pricing dossiers and/or reimbursement submissions to managed care or national authorities are required. Experience with pricing and reimbursement policies in global reimbursement systems is preferred. Previous negotiation experience is preferred. Superior written and oral communication skills together with numeracy and familiarity with basic statistical concepts is required. Well-developed interpersonal skills with experience in interacting with colleagues at various levels and responsibilities within pharmaceutical companies are required. Must be capable of working in a team and also work constructively and effectively as a member of different functional teams. A minimum of 15% domestic and international travel is required. Apply Now
