Associate Director, Health Management Resources BASIC PURPOSE:The Associate Director of Health Management Resources will effectively implement corporate Disease State Management programs (Breathwise) to managed care customers at the market level. The individual will servce as a liaison between corporate managed markets/disease management initiatives and managed care customers within the six defined regions within BIPI Managed Markets Department.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  Consult and establish relationships with Medical Director, Director of Quality Improvement, Director of Pharmacy/Clinical Pharmacists, Outcomes and Case Managers in regard to their need for education surrounding COPD and resources available from the marketplace and BIPI.  Lead/manage/support implementation of HMR/Breathwise programs, resources and business inititatives with key customers, accounts, and strategic partners. Coordinate with the BIPI Account Management team to develop zone, account and channel specific DSM business plans. This would include opportunity identification, account qualification and determination of capability to manage and deliver HMR resources and implementation.  Determine and manage region budgets to support identified projects and activities.  Implement and monitor disease state management components at customer level.  Identify opportunities and support projects/activities with external organizations (e.g., DMAA, NCQA, DSM vendors, professional organizations).  Communicate account and project activities and status updates routinely to core departmental entities as well as affiliated departments (e.g., best practice).  Work with our Alliance partners in all aspects of our disease management offerings.  Development and coordination of regional training opportunities as necessary. REQUIREMENTS:  BS or preferable Masters/PhD/Pharm. D Degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacoeconomics, Health Policy, Economics or related discipline  Several years experience in the Managed Care business (Pharma and/or MCO)  Experience or in depth knowledge of disease state management programs including outcomes programs and their implementation at the pharmaceutical company and the HMO/provider level  Experience or in depth knowledge of Case Management and Quality Metrics  Experience in developing and implementing physician/patient education/training programs  Training/experience in economics/econometrics, cost benefit/analysis, Quality of Life and other studies and their application to drug therapy  Excellent analytical skills, judgement and problem solving ability  Sales experience helpful but not absolutely necessary Corporate Site
