Position Description:

Associate Director, Pharmacokinetics (PK)KV Pharmaceutical is seeking an Associate Director, Pharmacokinetics. As the Associate Director, you will provide leadership for the design, development, coordination, interpretation and reporting of BA/BE studies to support generic and branded drug development. The successful candidate will perform PK modeling, deconvolution, correlation, simulation, and prediction analyses to optimize the development of generic and branded controlled-release formulations. You will interact with Analytical Research and Formulation Development groups to design in vitro testing that better predict in vivo absorption, work with marketing to design and develop Phase 4 studies evaluating PK/PD and/or PD benefit, and mentor and train pharmacokineticists. Minimum five years relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry required. We are seeking an individual who understands ANDA and NDA drug development, knowledge of preclinical pharmacokinetic principles, and has the ability to model PK data and make predictions/suggest formulation strategies for generic and branded drug products. The ideal candidate will be innovative and creative in designing strategies to obtain generic products bioequivalent to the reference listed drug, have experience in generic and branded Phase I drug development and have experience working internationally. You must have experience drafting and reviewing biopharmaceutic sections for INDs, NDAs, and ANDAs. Familiarization with in vitro testing methods and formulation principles preferred.
