Johnson and Johnson Pharmaceutical Services, L.L.C. (J&JPS), is a legal corporate entity encompassing a unique group of five business units that provide leadership of critical business processes across the Pharmaceutical business segment of Johnson & Johnson. The business units that make up J&JPS include the following: Pharmaceuticals Group Strategic Marketing (PGSM); CNS/IM Communications; U.S. Pharmaceutical Procurement Group (USPPG); Pharmaceuticals Group Business Development (PGBD); and Global Health Economics and Pricing (HE&P). The Associate Director will provide Decision Analysis support within BIO Worldwide Business Unit. Lead cross-functional teams to assess technical and regulatory risks of achieving target product profiles for Immunology and Anemia compounds in development. Work closely with Compound Development Team (CDT), Global Business Analytics (GBA), Program Management, Early Commercial Input (ECI) and Finance to identify and evaluate various compound development strategies and recommend the best strategy to maximize the value of a compound. Provide DA support for Business Development activities. Collaborate with Portfolio Management team to create portfolio level analysis in therapeutic areas of responsibility for Senior Management reviews. The position is located in Chesterbrook, PA. A minimum of MBA or Master's degree with 5 years of Pharma/Biotech/Medical Devices industry practice including exposure to Business Development is required. A combination of business/management degree with a science degree is highly preferred. Drug discovery & development processes ' understanding of different R&D phases and key risks and hurdles associated with each phase is required. Decision Analysis framework ' ability to develop structured Decision Analysis approach, conduct analysis, provide recommendations for a specific development project is required. Financial and modeling skills ' decision tree analysis, P&L generation, NPV/ENPV calculation and other financial metrics is required. L&A familiarity ' good understanding of L&A function and expectations is preferred. Pharmaceutical industry environment and trend ' good knowledge of general trends, competition, reimbursement, regulatory, globalization, new technologies and their impacts on the industry is required. Strong analytical skills and self-motivated. A strong leader as well as a good team player. A detail-orientated person as well as a strategic thinker is required. Strong collaboration skills, excellent communication skills and strong presentation skills is required.
