Our Research and Development team has significant experience in metabolic diseases and is focused on investigating the biological actions and utilities of bioactive peptides and other compounds as potential drug candidates. Amylin has amassed significant research and clinical expertise in metabolic medicine, including the areas of diabetes and obesity, and we’re always looking for more talented and energetic professionals with not only the requisite knowledge & experience, but also the desire and passion to help us sustain our momentum and competitive edge.

Currently, we have a great opportunity for a highly motivated, hands-on professional to track and manage departmental and project budgets and contracts.

Specifically, you will:

• Ensure process consistency, transparency of information to stakeholders, and timely and accurate budgeting information
• Assist the Quality Senior Management staff with project management services and support major departmental projects and initiatives
• Represent Quality at monthly budget reviews, quarterly (re) forecasting, and annual budget planning by providing analysis of financial commitments, expenditure, and accruals
• Track, assist, and troubleshoot contract/purchase order requests (SURF), purchase orders, and invoices
• Author department business guidelines and train department management staff
• Develop Quality resource map to provide Quality Senior Management with effective resource planning tools
• Re-design existing weekly Quality status reports and generate a monthly and a quarterly report format
• Coordinate and issue departmental status reports

This position requires:

• A BA/BS in life sciences with business and project management experience
• 12 years of experience with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in budget/ project management in a pharmaceutical, biotech, or life science industry
• Working knowledge of pharmaceutical supply chain management
• PC proficiency with MS Office
• Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
