Position Overview The Associate Director will manage and coordinate the activities of one or more scientific functions within the Toxicology group. This will include the maintenance of organizational balance across the function, as well as helping to define and navigate the scientific directions for personnel. She/he will foster interdisciplinary understanding within the function and integrate activities with those of other groups, departments and project teams. Key Responsibilities - Demonstrate championship of excellence in his/her own specialty area(s) - Derive widespread peer respect through scientific leadership and the display of high ethical standards - Prepare SOPs, NCD Policies, and guidance documents for addressing target organ toxicities - Communicate clearly and precisely (reading/writing and verbal) with all levels of employees in the company - Serve as a mentor for subordinates on scientific and ethical development, motivates personnel and resolve conflicts - Demonstrate strong aptitude in helping and leading a group or team endeavor, in order to achieve team building units - Set good examples for peers and subordinates - Seek out and plan scientific direction for the function, and nurture technological innovation - Must have a clear understanding of the Corporate Goals, Core Values and Project Timelines - Assist the Senior Director to manage the budget, resource allocation, project assignments, and represent Toxicology in cross-functional teams Minimum Requirements - Minimum of 7 years of relevant industrial experience is required, with some supervisory responsibilities - Must possess good leadership and managerial abilities - Efficient recruiting skills are needed to build infrastructure - Must be proficient in the Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) Regulations, and thorough knowledge of the FDA, EMEA, OECD, ICH and Japanese testing guidelines - Good working knowledge in MSWord, PowerPoint,, Excel Spreadsheet, MS Project, Database Search Engines, Literature Searches, and Graphics for Presentations Education Ph.D. Toxicology, Pharmacology, or Biological Sciences Apply Now
