Full-Service Medical Communications Company with locations in NYC, NJ & CT has an immediate opening for a an Associate Medical Director or Medical Director.

 

Description

The role of the Associate Medical Director/Medical Director is to act independently in supporting the scientific creation and development of jjournal artcles, posters, abstracts, slide kits or medical education materials contracted by pharmaceutical clients.

 

Responsibilities

•  Supports multiple-brand projects and programs in which jobs for the development of medical education or commercial materials are assigned by a senior-level medical director.

•  Contributes to the development of education and marketing initiatives as sought by pharma clients.

•  Uses academic and clinical expertise to benchmark products and competitor’s products in order to assist future goals.

•  Methodically surveys the literature and/or captures information from medical meetings at which product-related or competitor-related materials are presented.  Ability to write journal articles, posters, abstracts, slide kits.

•  Acts and works independently on assigned jobs.

•  May contribute significantly to the development of in-house programs in an effort to increase intra- or inter-department work efficiency.  Ability to write journal articles, posters, abstacts, slide kits

 

Requirements

•  2-5 years medical communication/education or relevant experience.  Advanced scientific degree (Phd, PharmD, MD).  Medical writing experience.  Excellent interpersonal & project management skills.

•  The ability to work independently as required in writing/developing/executing projects and programs.
