(J&JPRD) is recruiting for a Research Associate to serve as a Biomarker Lab Specialist for the target area of Immunology. The position is located in La Jolla, CA. J & J PRD, La Jolla, develops treatments that improve the health and lifestyles of people worldwide. Research and development is focused on novel targets for immune mediated inflammatory disorders (IMID), but also includes pain, CNS and metabolic disorders. As the Biomarker Lab Specialist - Immunology, you are responsible for:Biomarker assay development. Training internal and external personnel in sample collection and sample analysis.In collaboration with Biomarker Specialists, support development of compound strategy including plans for biomarkers.Liaise with relevant internal partners regarding biomarker targets and assay developmentSample management and Biobanking.Responsible for assessment, preparation of and use of novel biomarker assays. Review new technologies in the biomarker area. A BS with 6 years of experience or an MS Degree with 3 years of experience in biochemistry, cell biology or other related field with a minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience working with biomarker assays. A minimum of 2 years of industry experience, including clinical research and clinical study experience, is preferred and knowledge of therapeutic area of Immunology is highly desirable. Apply Now
