Associate Scientist II - (Job Number: 0715549) DescriptionThe Associate Scientist II will be responsible for performing experimental studies in the pharmaceutical sciences related to the formulation development and testing of therapeutic proteins including monoclonal antibodies (Mab) and Mab-mimetics. The Associate Scientist II will assist the area manager with scheduling of stability assays, review of protocols; and data review (auditing and technical review). In addition, the scientist will perform stability studies on development batch formulations, using biochemical and biophysical methods. The individual will perform technical analysis of the project data including trending of data. The Associate Scientist II will author technical reports and be involved with presentations of the data. The candidate will also be responsible for following general laboratory safety procedures, as related to biologically derived materials. The individual will be responsible for collaborating with contacts inside the company including scientific staff in Pharmaceutical Development, as well as scientists in related functional areas such as Research, Process Sciences, and QC/QA, Clinical, Manufacturing, Toxicology, Regulatory (CMC). The Associate Scientist II will perform tasks consistent with current GLP/GMP processes. A Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate scientific discipline with 5 or more years of related laboratory or research experience is required. A Master's Degree in an appropriate scientific discipline with 2 or more years of related laboratory or research experience is preferred. A demonstrated working knowledge of fundamental scientific principles is required. Experience in therapeutic Proteins is required. Experience in monoclonal antibodies (Mab) is preferred. Oral and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams is required. Basic Microsoft MS Office proficiency (Word and Excel) is required.
