Automation Computer System Administrator

This position based in Hillsboro, Oregon provides the unique opportunity to be an integral contributor to a green field plant construction and startup effort, as well as contribute to the development and formation of a new automation department that will support the operating plant following successful startup.

The employee will be the system administrator for the PCS, MES, and IMS (OSI PI) computer system, reporting to the Hillsboro Automation Engineering Manager. The system administrator will be responsible for working with the project team including corporate information technology, manufacturing, engineering, process science, automation system vendors, validation, and quality assurance personnel during the design, start-up commissioning and validation of a new facility. The successful candidate will be accountable for the successful start-up, commissioning and validation efforts of the highly integrated manufacturing related automation systems infrastructure and interfaces to the business information systems and may be required to hire and supervise contract staff. The Systems Administrator will be accountable for the development of coding standards, system integration specifications/procedures, system security policies and procedures, and system commissioning plans.

The candidate will be responsible for developing the business processes for support and maintenance of the validated computer system as well as scoping and developing new applications/implementations to meet changing business needs and to mitigate computer system performance and reliability risks. The employee will be responsible for supporting and developing the OSI-PI information management system (IMS) and all related intefaces.
