BW Programmer Analyst (Logistics)

Responsibilities:This position will be responsible for BW support as it relates to the Logistics and APO Modules implemented in the current SAP BW 3.5 landscape. The Programmer Analyst is expected to work on end-to-end implementations of new SAP BW functionality from detailed business requirements to design, develop and implement SAP BW data access solutions. Data access solutions include SAP BW BEX (Business Explorer), Web and Analyzer. This role will be techno functional in nature with a high degree of customer focus. The candidate will be expected to work on both backend and front end aspects of BW and will need to be the liaison with the Basis team as needed. This role will also address day-to-day production support activities on the BW System including load monitoring, as needed. Requirements:A minimum of 3-5 years of SAP R 3 and BW (including 3.0B) experience, with a minimum of  2-3 years of BW experience (3.0B or higher) is required. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred. The candidate must have experience supporting the Logistics Functional Area in BW (maintenance, quality, APO, MM and PP). Experience with supply chain BW Reporting is a plus. The applicant must be knowledgeable about Data warehousing concepts with expert knowledge in BW. He/she must have the ability to drive requirement gathering and document functional and technical specifications. Good data modeling skills and good ABAP programming skills as it relates to BW are required. Expert knowledge with respect to backend and front end BW configuration (Bex and Web) is imperative. The incumbent must have the ability to enhance R3 APO data sources, update and transfer rules and create custom variables. Experience with configuring process chains and event chains is required. The candidate must have the ability to understand performance implications of a design option and propose optimal solutions to reporting needs. Experience with BW Portal Integration is a big plus, as well as experience with daily production support and load monitoring. The applicant must demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Proven skills in relationship building, customer-focus, decision-making and problem solving are required. The incumbent must be a strong team player with excellent communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment is required. Pharmaceutical biotech experience is desirable. The ideal candidate will have experience with validated or controlled IT environments.
