Bariatric Business Solutions Consultant - (Job Number: 0806388) DescriptionEthicon Endo- Surgery, Inc., a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is currently recruiting for a Bariatric Business Solutions Consultant, located anywhere in the US. Ethicon Endo-Surgery, Inc.- develops and markets advanced medical devices for minimally invasive and open surgical procedures. The company focuses on procedure- enabling devices for the interventional diagnosis and treatment of conditions in general and bariatric surgery, as well as gastro- intestinal health, gynecology and surgical oncology. We are looking for seasoned professionals to augment our existing Healthcare Consulting Team. As a member of this group, you will be assigned to short duration projects at hospitals and private practice surgical groups. Working in partnership with the hospital administration, surgeons, their staff, and other team members you will implement process changes that will achieve measurable improvements in productivity, patient satisfaction and financial performance. PURPOSE: Work with customer to evaluate, recommend and implement process changes that will achieve measurable improvements in practice productivity and financial performance. Creating opportunities for increased access to patient care and increased practice capability. KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Complete training in area of responsibility. Training is required for changes in existing policies & procedures, for new assignments & for implementation of new policies & procedures. Complete required periodic re-training in areas such as safety and environmental. Follow all company safety policies & other safety precautions within work area. Promote safety to all associates that enter work area. Spend 4 ' 6 weeks onsite at physician's practice. Interview medical practice staff. Conduct workflow analysis and mapping. Analyze financials. Evaluate marketing efficiency. Establish management controls & metrics. Deliver customer specific improvements and recommendations. Identify Key Performance Indicators. Provide thorough documentation. Conduct follow-up as needed. Responsibilities include: Workflow analysis, mapping, and documentation, Root cause analysis and data driven decision-making. Recommendation and implementation of process improvements, Financial analysis, Marketing effectiveness and strategy development and Client management. WORK ENVIRONMENT: 85% of work will be conducted in a medical practice environment that will vary some from practice to practice. Remainder or work time will be spent in a normal office environment or home based office. 85% travel required. Other responsibilities may be assigned and not all responsibilities listed may be assigned Undergraduate degree Required. Experience leading teams to implement and sustain performance and business related changes. Demonstrated business and financial acumen. Experience and skills in process and data analysis. Superior PC skills: Access, Word, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, Visio. Minimum 5 + years of business experience. Experience leading teams to implement and sustain performance and business related changes. Experience in project management and process analysis. Experience with organizational behavior and group dynamics preferred. Strategic planning, organization and job design experience preferred. Demonstrated success in applying strategic thinking, group facilitation, change management, coaching, team building, and systems thinking preferred. Preferred Qualifications. Advanced degree Demonstrated success in applying strategic thinking, group facilitation, change management, coaching, team building, and systems thinking. Knowledge and skills relating to organizational behavior, group dynamics, strategic planning, organization and job design. Green Belt, Black Belt, or lean process improvement certification. Experience in the healthcare field (hospital, private practice).
