Biller II Work Location: Addison, TexasShifts: Not ApplicablePositions Available: 1Position Summary Under general supervision of the Reimbursement Supervisor, responsible for direct billing to assigned third party payers. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Enters data into the computer as needed. Procures all the proper paperwork for billing and maintains patient charts. Creates and QA's all bills to assigned payers. Interacts frequently with inter-departmental associates and management for the purpose of resolving outstanding information issues. Independently resolves denials and submits appeals to third party payers. Trains and coaches Reimbursement Coordinator I's. Performs related duties and special projects as assigned. Experience and Education Requirements Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accounting, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a two year associate's degree program, technical vocational training or equivalent combination of experience and education. Normally requires four (4) years directly related and progressively responsible experience. Minimum Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirements Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing Strong interpersonal skills Strong mathematical and analytical skills Strong organizational skills; attention to detail General knowledge of insurance billing and pharmacy operations Basic knowledge of ICD9 coding preferred Global understanding of commercial and government billing preferred Ability to proficiently use Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word.
