Summary Description:

This role is responsible for leading the development of business requirements for manufacturing and facilities teams and ensuring that the design of BioEnterprise is in line with the business needs. May need to work with outsourced managed services to deliver production support, in the future

 

Responsibilities:

Primarily responsible to develop business requirements and leading projects by liaising with end users of the Manufacturing and Facilities business areas at BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc.  This position will leverage the industry best practices in developing the requirements for MES and Facilities working closely with the business leaders at BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. The analyst will work with management and end users to assess, analyze, recommend, and implement business solutions.  Documents user requirements to design business solutions using by developing well-written functional specifications to be used by developers.

 

Secondary responsibilities include conducting workshops to confirm business requirements and educating the business users regarding the relevant concepts in facilities management and manufacturing. Works on special projects, including supporting implementation related third party applications. Documents setups and customizations in standardized, formal technical specifications. Performs end user training as required.

 

May liaise with third party managed services teams to ensure that production support and enhancement requests are executed.

 

Communicates very clearly, professionally and pleasantly with users, peers, and all levels of management. The communication form includes written and verbal methods.

 

Education:

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university or significant experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

 

Experience:

· 5 plus years using Enterprise Applications (SAP, Oracle, etc.). 

· Strong knowledge of Manufacturing business processes.

· Experience working in the FDA regulated industries. 

· Independent problems solving skills. 

· Experience implementing business improvements through more effective use of Enterprise

· Applications and related software.  Very strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to interact positively with upper management as well as communicating problems to appropriate teams within our organization.
