Bioanalytical Chemist

Immediate need for Bioanalytical Chemist.

Will be responsible for coordinating and providing bioanalytical support to drug discovery and development teams. Key responsibilities include developing and performing LC/MS/MS based assays for the quantitation of small molecules from biological matrices. Additional responsibilities include routine structure identification of both in vitro and in vivo metabolite profiling screens for supporting medicinal chemistry efforts. Previous experience in the areas of mass spectrometry, chromatography, state-of-the-art separation techniques, robotics and sample preparation techniques is essential. A successful candidate must posses the ability and desire to maintain awareness of the scientific literature and advancements in the analytical sciences; a demonstrated record of using bioanalytical knowledge to develop new techniques and strategies to isolate and detect small molecules from biological matrices; the ability to work with laboratory information management systems, databases, web-based applications & other information technology tools; the ability to partner with IT group to support software / hardware applications; and a basic understanding of PK principles.  The successful candidate should possess a PhD in Bioanalytical Chemistry or related discipline with a minimum of 3 yrs of related work experience in a research and/or development environment or a MS degree with a minimum of 10 yrs of related work experience in a research and/or development environment or a BA/BS degree in Bioanalytical Chemistry or related field with a minimum of 15 years of related work experience in a research and/or development environment.
