Description:

Qualifications

Ø The Research and Development Group evaluates, develops, introduces and supports new protocols, systems and technologies with the goal of enabling powerful drug-development research.

Ø Key responsibilities of this group include evaluating new technologies, developing innovative and robust methods for profiling biological molecules, and handling and processing clinical samples.

Ø Highly attractive candidates for this position will have a proven track record in protocol/product development, a demonstrated understanding of end-to-end processes, strong analytical capabilities, trouble-shooting and quality analysis experience, independence, and a background in genomic applications such as micro arrays, RT-PCR, or genotyping.

Ø M.S. or equivalent experience in Molecular Biology/Biochemistry or related field. Demonstrated experience in basic or clinical protocol development.

Ø Experience with standard molecular biology and genomic-profiling techniques.

Ø Ability to use lab

Responsibilities

• Work within a multidisciplinary team to identify, develop and implement technologies for high-throughput genomic research.

• Develop requirements and quality metrics for implemented technologies.

• Design and execute experimental plans with team members to generate high-quality data.

 

Job Title: Biologist - I (Assistant)

 

 

Qualifications:

 

Qualified candidates should have a Bachelor of Science in Biology or related field. Candidates must have experience working with both Tecan® and MultiPROBE® liquid handling systems. Furthermore, candidates must be experienced in Whole Genome and Targeted Genotyping processing assays. Candidates must also have experience using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). The candidate must have demonstrated experience of working both independently and as part of a team. The attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, and effective organization and communication skills are required. Qualified candidates must demonstrate advanced use of Microsoft® Office and Genotyping software.

The Gene Expression Laboratory is a high throughput microarray processing facility that generates both high-quality Gene Expression and Genotyping data. The successful candidate will perform Genotyping experiments in a controlled, documented and timely manner. The candidate must be capable of working in a fast-paced high throughput environment; performing both semi-automated and automated laboratory techniques including gel electrophoresis, qPCR, nucleic acid quantification, amplification and labeling procedures.
