Job Summary:

Our Kansas City campus has an opening for a fulltime instructor to teach courses in our Biomedical Engineering Technology program, beginning Oct. 27, 2008.  Courses may include any combination of Biology, Anatomy, Bioengineering, Biomedical Instrumentation, Telemedicine, Computer & Medical Imaging. May also teach some electronics courses.  This position is responsible for facilitating student learning by delivering educational courses and programs in compliance with DeVry University requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Develops course syllabi and lesson plan. Applies teaching techniques to best achieve course and program objectives. 2. Teaches Bioscience courses to Biomedical Engineering Technology students at the Bachelor’s level. 3. Counsels and advises students on course content and academic issues. 4. Other essential duties as required.

Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

MSEE degree or equivalent in Biomedical, or any other Biosciences. A minimum of 3 years of relevant industrial experience and U.S. college-level teaching experience. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
