Biomedical Field Service Technician

The new Mindray-Datascope USA is already a well established and growing business with sales approaching $200M annually. Headquartered in Mahwah, NJ, Mindray-Datascope USA is seeking to add a Field Service Technician to their field service team.


Responsibilities:Provides technical service support on the installations, inspection, repair, calibration and preventative maintenance of Mindray-Datascope USA medical equipment and products.Daily interaction with the biomedical equipment department of hospitals and clinicsProvides telephone support to customers, sales and clinical education staff on the biomed equipment. Maintains positive, professional communication with customers, regional team members, and national technical support group.Documents all activities in accordance with Mindray-Datascope USA ServiceAdministrative and Quality system policies and procedures, including and not limited to MDR and field correctionsMaintains all service contracts in accordance with Mindray-Datascope USA service policies and procedures and actively pursues the renewal of existing contracts. Identifies potential service contract customers, provides contract quotations, and pursues the timely closing of all new contract proposals.Maintains loaner, test equipment, spare parts inventory, company vehicle, and other company equipment and supplies in good conditions and working order.Maintains organized supplies and inventory.Continuously updates technical knowledge on all Mindray-Datascope USA products and new advance in the field of medical electronics through Mindray-Datascope USA training and personal study. Well-organized, able to function independently, with a minimum of supervisionExhibits high level of critical thinking abilitiesCustomer-oriented, with good verbal and written communication skillsEnthusiastic demeanor and a can-do attitudeGood driving record

Requirements:Minimum of an Associate of Science Degree OR equivalent in electronics with emphasis in instrumentation, and digital circuitryExperience with systems involving RF and telemetry is a definite plusMinimum of 3 to 5 years of experience years in biomedical field service experience or hospital biomed experienceAbility to do some overnight travel as required; travel may be up to 15%
