Brand Manager

Bayer Animal Health operates in more than 100 countries worldwide and is wholly part of Bayer Group internationally.Incumbent is responsible for the achievement of sales and profit goals for segments of the Animal Health product lines. The position involves strategic planning and management of marketing, advertising, promotion and public relation functions for the assigned products.Principal focus is on implementation of the strategy and tactics, integrating the commercial and technical aspects of marketing planning and working closely with sales and veterinary services in execution of the strategy.1. Develops and recommends final marketing plans and budgets, product positioning and pricing to Marketing Manager with input from other appropriate functional managers to maximize profit contribution.2. Prepares and updates on a monthly basis product sales forecasts, and communicates regularly with Production Planning to ensure adequate supply without excessive inventory.3. Serves as marketing representative on project teams to develop new products and line extensions to ensure future growth.4. Interacts with customers, the sales force, industry opinion leaders and other market influencers to enhance the product line success and keep abreast of changing customer needs and competitive activity.5. Works closely with advertising agencies to develop advertising and promotional tactics that support the strategy.6. Assists in training the sales representatives to ensure competency in detailing the features and benefits of products, while understanding the technical aspects of competitive products.7. Analyze and evaluate constantly changing market dynamics which include competitive pricing, marketing and position strategies, company mergers, customer attitudes and perceptions, population trends, and emerging diseases and health problems.Requirements:• B.S./B.A. degree in business or scientific discipline with strong technical background• Minimum of 10 years of previous sales & marketing experience in the animal health industry• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Good interpersonal and influence skills• Ability to work with a wide range of people at various levels within the organization• Good problem-solving, time management decision-making and organizational skills• Experience using spreadsheets, word processing, databases, and Lotus Notes• Experience in strategic marketing is desirableExcellent company benefits package.
