The Business Analyst II will establish databases of information related to Sales & Marketing activities and sales data. This includes design and setup of limited databases and coordination with both the Business Information group and Information Management to construct other complex databases. Responsible for periodic analysis and reporting of key business metrics. Responsible for the analysis of contracting and pricing activities and is engaged in the design process. Collects key information from areas as Sales and Marketing, etc to assist in completion of departmental objectives. Works with external databases and vendors to collect competitive product, sales, share or pricing information. Assesses internal and external information sources to determine and forecast market trends including share positions, product launches and pricing. Prepares recommendations for policy, procedure, control, or other actions. Is expected to formulate and present recommendations to manager in areas of causal relationships. Evaluates and analyzes investment opportunities and product portfolio opportunities and needs. Assists in the design, implementation and execution of pricing and contracting strategies. Prepares presentation to management. May represent department in meeting with other functional areas, both within and outside of the company, to resolve mutual problems, implement new methods or procedures. Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred. A minimum of 3 years related experience. Experience in business, financial or statistical analysis required. Experience with Sales & Marketing analysis is preferred. Experience in financial modeling is preferred. This position requires attention to detail and ability to multi-task and complete assignments/projects in a timely manner. Must be highly proficient in the use of personal computers, including intermediate knowledge of Excel and Power Point. Experience with Access and database setup/creation preferred, but not required. The employee must be able to effectively communicate and partner with all levels of the organization including internal and external business partners and customers.
