Business Development Associate

Abcam is a rapidly growing business, specializing in the production and sale of antibodies and associated products. We are a web-based business, with offices in Cambridge, USA, Cambridge, UK and Tokyo, Japan.

 

To support our continued expansion we are looking for a Business Development Associate to specialize in one our the core focus areas. This role will provide the opportunity to build a business development career in a commercial science-based company.

 

We require an experienced individual to be the main force in the running and development of the nuclear signaling Core Focus Area (CFA). The key responsibilities will be to work with the CFA team in the identification of proteins and research areas in which commercially successful antibodies can be produced, promote in-house products using internal and external opportunities and support the Marketing team in order to drive sales.

 

The ideal candidate will have a laboratory based PhD in Biomolecular Sciences with practical experience of using scientific protocols incorporating antibodies. The role requires a team player who is organised and has a good attention to detail. Excellent communication skills are vital in building effective working relationships with external parties.

 

Experience in signal transduction and data mining technologies would be an advantage as would some experience of bioinformatics.
