Business Development Engineer
Business Development Engineer
Thermo Systems LLC is a highly successful control systems engineering firm that provides turnkey custom solutions to Fortune 500 companies. We understand that customer service and industry experience are the keys to developing successful control systems contracts. We are currently seeking a Business Development Engineer to join our team. This individual will be based out of central NJ, report directly to the Director of Business Development, and will share responsibility for business development in the Northeastern US.
Responsibilities
Contract and market development with both new and existing customers.
Manage accounts as customer base expands.
Call on and assist Fortune 500 businesses and consulting engineers in developing turnkey control system solutions.
Develop $3 to $4 million annually in control systems projects.
Qualifications
This is an entrepreneurial position for a professional who enjoys technical systems sales and has the instinct to manage large corporate clients. The successful candidate will be one who demonstrates technical savvy while also exuding self-confidence and the ability to adapt to an ever changing business climate.
- Five (5) years sales experience in a similar field required.
- Experience in conceptual control system design is desired.
- Experience with relationship selling at the executive level and experience working with
consulting engineers is a plus.
- Bachelors degree required. BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems engineering is a plus.

Thermo Systems offers an outstanding compensation package that includes a competitive salary, quarterly commissions, 401K with company matching contribution, health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, and business expense and automobile use reimbursement.
