Business and Project Developer

Provide vital input into strategic planning with a hands-on role with responsibility for leadership in new product and market development. Be fully involved in the overall management, definition and leadership of multiple objectives.

1. Evaluate and validate new products and market developments stemming from a bio-refinery footprint.
2. Actively identify, develop and secure market relationships for new products, services and technologies. Focus is on mapping market opportunities for new business concepts stemming from the emerging bio-refinery world.
3. Manage the incubation of relationships to achieve commercialization of new products, services and/or technologies.
4. Communicate with and advise Management of changes in market conditions, competitive activities, technical discoveries, product modifications, and operational details that may affect business and marketing initiatives.
5. Create project/product development scope, gather and conduct market analysis and provide summarized findings
6. Research and identify domestic and global market trends, changing market conditions/trends, customer needs and business models.
7. Participate in market initiatives and market evaluation tools; must be proficient in the following:
• SWOT analysis
•Competitive mapping & landscape analysis
•Five-Forces model
•Basic economic modeling
8. Manage multiple products, projects and business initiatives simultaneously.
9. Must be self-driven and motivated with the ability to manage and prioritize work activities without a great deal of supervision
10. Maintain a team environment with all departments and co-workers; leave the ego outside the office
11. Maintain a positive and high level of customer service with a professional and friendly outlook.
12. Must be an excellent oral and written communicator
13. Must be proficient win all Microsoft Office products
14. Must be champion of POET in the community.
15. Others duties as assigned.
 

Job Requirements

 

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position along with effective oral and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills.

At least 7 years of relevant analytical experience in biotech, agricultural, food and/or chemical industries.
In addition, the role requires managerial experience with preference specific to Agriculture / Energy/ Chemicals or Food Manufacturing.

Strong financial, economic and analytical capabilities combined with solid strategic thinking, an eye for detail, and visionary business skills are key requirements.

This person must be able to clearly articulate, and develop analytical frameworks for formulating business strategies and objectives weighing risks and rewards in multiple industries.

Success in this role will require accurate and timely business analysis and business planning.
This position requires the ability to work independently with executive presence. Demonstrated ability in all areas of business analysis, economic modeling, and building feasibility studies are key qualifications.

Experience in business development and market analysis is a must.


This position requires a BS /BA degree with an MBA strongly preferred
