CRM DeveloperLocation: Carlsbad, CAPosition Objective: Invitrogen is seeking a talented, highly motivated and energetic individual to join the Global CRM Infrastructure team as a CRM Developer. This individual has a deep understanding of the capabilities and constraints of the Siebel CRM applications, coupled with good understanding of Life Science Customers and Business. In this role, the candidate will collaborate with CRM Marketing and IT Siebel team to translate detailed business requirements into system requirements and design. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record and successful implementation of large and highly visible Siebel CRM projects. Additionally, you will need to be able to converse around the features-functionality of Siebel CRM software applications, as well as Siebel CRM implementation/configuration and test best practices. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring quality of each integrator deliverable as well as working with multiple IT groups to build the integration with Siebel.Essential Functions:- Understand Biotech business from several points of view and align Siebel systems and processes to address critical Sales and Marketing information and automation requirements.- Provide expert knowledge of cross-functional business processes and the Out-of-the Box functionalities of the Siebel systems. - Integrate various type of customer data and handle extremely complex problems.- Consult, recommend alternatives to help set strategic application direction related to business process changes.- Lead the technical application architecture and system integration tasks. Communicate essential information in a timely manner and provide time estimates and status for project tasks.- Guide, mentor and motivate project team members to think more broadly related to identifying the best technical solutions.Experience- A minimum of 10 years of experience in developing system applications to solve business problems and 5+ years of hands-on experience with large/enterprise Siebel applications are required. Candidates must have Solid understanding of Siebel Data model and Data Architecture, strong development skills and experience in all phases of the systems development life cycle. Candidates must be proficient in Siebel 7.8 or higher (Siebel 8 is a plus) and have hands-on working experience in the following areas:o Configuration/Customization using Siebel Toolso Task User Interfaceo VBC (Virtual Business Components)o EAI (Enterprise Application Integration)o Siebel Analyticso eScript- In addition, candidates must also have experience with Oracle databases and System Integration. Expert analytical skills, strong people skills are also required. Candidates must have exceptional problem solving skills and communication skills including written, verbal, and listening skills. Candidates must be detailed oriented and have leadership skills/aptitude.
