At our facility in Cincinnati, OH we have an exciting opportunity for a Calibration / Instrumentation Technician. Responsibilities include: Calibrate and maintain electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical controls, devices, and machinery. Write and maintain all SOP’s related to the calibration of company assets. Coordinate the annual recertification of all Calibration Reference Standards. Generate and maintain all Calibration Report Forms. Initiate Calibration Deviation Reports as required. Maintain calibration logbooks. Troubleshoot and repair control circuits as required. Read, interpret and modify drawings and flow diagrams (PFD’s-Process Flow Diagram’s and P&ID’s -Process & Instrumentation Diagrams) Modify controls circuits as required to include the addition of timers, relays, indicators, motor controls, etc. Communicate effectively with employees, management, vendors and contractors. Execute facility qualification protocols. Operate the MVE (Metasys Validated Environment) building management system.The successful candidate will have the following: 3-5 years of direct experience installing and maintaining instrument and control systems in the pharmaceutical or similar industry. Technical school / 2yr Associates degree / or military training & experience in electronics is preferred. · Good written and verbal skills are necessary· Expertise with troubleshooting and repair of instrumentation that measures and controls temperature, pressure, level, flow, weight, speed, pH, and conductivity; · Excellent analytical skills and working knowledge of electrical, electronic, computer, pneumatic and mechanical based systems; · Ability to read and comprehend P&IDs, schematics, wiring diagrams and technical manuals. Experience with PC and microprocessor based controllers, programmable logic controller (PLC), single loop PID and hardwired relay logic systems; · Skilled use of computers, especially with database, spreadsheet, word processing and graphical software packages.
