Central Weigh Supervisor

The incumbent will plan, schedule and manage personnel performing daily activities for efficient weighing and movement of material from receiving to production for Actavis products.  May develop raw material and scheduling requirements.  Plans and manages material movement with production area.  Negotiates lead times with suppliers and manages schedules for timely delivery.Supervise union personnel, ensuring adherence to union work rules, company policies and cGMP's.Ensure compliance with all FDA, DEA and OSHA regulations.Oversees the weighing of raw material and the scheduling of material movement into production.Negotiates appropriate material timing from off-site warehouse(s).Able to learn and utilize warehouse management systems (MFG/PRO, WDMS, JD Edwards, etc.)Maintain department in a secure, safe, clean and orderly condition.Ensure personnel are trained on SOP's and safety procedures.Write and/or revise departmental SOP's as necessary.Recommend and/or implement changes to improve labor efficiency during the weighing process.Ability to prioritize and handle numerous tasks simultaneously.Knowledge of Fork-lift operation and safety.
