CHIEF SCIENTIFIC OFFICER (CSO) For an In-Vitro Diagnostic Manufacturing Company

 

Job Description:

This position is to provide exemplary scientific & strategic leadership in developing and expanding a diagnostic business. 

 

Location: Chicago Area

 

Education:  M.S. or PhD Level in Microbiology / Biochemistry

 

Experience: 

A total of 7 to 15 years of which the last 5 years have been in a senior leadership role of supervising or managing multiple programs (projects) relating to diagnostics.

 

Relevant Qualifications:

?  Experience in the areas of Virology (Tissue Culture) and Immunology. 

?  Experience with diagnostic test systems ( IFA, ELISA, PCR, etc.).

?  Familiarity with Regulatory Agencies and their requirements (FDA, ISO, etc.).

?  Networking skills with experts in academia and industry.

?  Provide scientific knowledge and input to support business growth for the company.

?  Ability to develop and launch projects leading to new diagnostic products for market.

?  Possess good judgment and decision making capabilities.

?  Show leadership and mentoring of a group of individuals (people management) in a research environment.

?  Communication skills (both verbal and written) to advance plans, objectives, goals.
