Clinical Data Management Specialist

 

 

 

Adolor Corporation is a biopharmaceutical company located in suburban Philadelphia specializing in the discovery, development and commercialization of novel prescription pain management products. Adolor has more than 120 employees working in areas including discovery research, drug development, clinical research, manufacturing, business development and marketing.

 

Reporting to the Senior Director, Biometrics, the Clinical Data Management Specialist will review clinical trial data to identify erroneous, missing, incomplete or implausible data.  This will be accomplished by running ancillary programs in Oracle Clinical database software and also by carrying out query production, resolution and tracking to resolve problematic data identified during manual review or electronic edit checks.

 RESPONSIBILITIES

 

· Identify data discrepancies using computerized edit checks and manual reviews.

· Review Case Report Forms (CRFs) for completeness, accuracy, and consistency.

· Generate and resolve data queries.

· Update tracking systems as necessary.

· Design and create CRFs to be used in clinical trials and interact with vendors who perform CRF printing.

· Perform additional data review activities as required.

· Handle miscellaneous data management tasks assigned by management such as data entry.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

 

· Requires a BA/BS degree or equivalent years of experience and education.

· Two or more years of general data management and/or clinical trials experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.

· Must have familiarity with clinical databases (preferably Oracle Clinical).

· General computer literacy required.

· Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.

· Ability to interact with company personnel.

· Excellent organizational skills.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to work under multiple deadlines.

· Strong attention to detail.
