It's a rare combination for success that only a career with i3 Statprobe can provide. The Clinical Data Programmer II is responsible for executing data management programming activities in coordination with the project team. S/he designs and programs clinical databases and edit checks in compliance with standard operating procedures, client guidelines and regulatory agency guidelines, and in coordination with data management. The Clinical Data Programmer II also produces data management reports, dictionary coding programs, and miscellaneous data management listings, as requested by project lead. Maintain close communication regarding data management programming activities with project team. Provides mentoring, training and leadership to programming colleagues and project teams. Participates in Operational Excellence (OE) initiatives and optimization within the department and with external customers. Develop, program, verify/validate, and maintain clinical trial databases and data entry screens using Oracle Clinical, e.Power, SAS and/or any another related software Review data management guidelines for computer edit/validation checks Develop, program, test and maintain computer edit/validation checks Develop, program, and test data review listings Develop, program, and test programs necessary to download data received from various sources, validate the data, and store the data in clinical trial databases Generate database audit random samples and listings Provide technical expertise and programming support for clinical trail projects and data management programming staff Communicate project status and key project issues to data management team lead Assist in developing new data management programming procedures and processes Keeps current with technological advances and coordinates activities with IT/IS personnel in an effort to maximize their potential use in managing data Provide mentoring and training of other Assist in delegating work Run and review department metrics, plus perform some root cause analysis Support OE initiatives within the department and externally 5% domestic or international travel may be requiredDiversity creates a healthier atmosphere: an equal opportunity employer, M/F/D/V. BA or BS with a science, statistics or health-related background is required. Equivalent experience in data management and a medical-related field may be substituted 5 years experience managing research data in a scientific/health research related field is required SAS development proficiency is required Oracle Clinical experience a plus Knowledgeable and expert in all areas of database setup and programming for clinical studies Familiarity with data management processes through formal coursework or previous experience is required An ability to work independently, strong problem solving skills, attention to detail, a willingness to take initiative, an ability to adapt to change, and strong organizational skills are required Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills are required Self-motivated, willing to learn and demonstrates success at current job Possesses a positive attitude and builds effective working relationships with team members and external clientsdegree or equivalent experience.
