Clinical Operations Coordinator

Auxilium Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is seeking a Clinical Operations Coordinator for its Malvern, PA facility.  This position is responsible for providing process-oriented and project specific support to clinical trials and operations staff including financial and operational information such as contract metrics and budget information, coordinating communications with investigation sites and vendors, making travel arrangements, recording minutes at meeting, preparing presentations in support of delivery of Clinical Trial Programs.

The Major Responsibility Areas include:

1.     Provide technical and administrative support  with project related activities:

·        Provide technical and administrative support (word processing, presentations, mathematical spreadsheets) to clinical and data management study staff to support project related activities. Tasks may include: assist with collecting all critical study-related documents, copying, tracking, distributing and filing documents; assembling and mailing clinical study site binders. May assist with set-up and maintenance of the Study Master Files. Create presentations using Power Point, create spreadsheets and graphs using Excel, and create merge-mailings and other routine correspondence using Word. Must possess excellent technical administrative skills. Must be proficient in the use of Outlook.

·        Provide meeting planning and administrative assistance for Clinical Development Advisory Boards and Investigator meetings including arranging for meeting venue, room reservations, travel arrangements, meeting equipment and supplies, and on-site meeting assistance when necessary.

·        Assist with gathering information from study sites; interact proactively with investigators and vendors to gain timely responses to requests for information.

·        Perform other project related activities as assigned

 

2.     General Skills Required:Advanced Word ProcessingTaking and distributing meeting minutes Preparing packages for shipping/mailing.  Handle miscellaneous tasks as assigned by supervisor and others in departmentProcess Travel & Expense Reports Update and maintain staff electronic calendars, as requested

The Skills and Behaviors of the successful incumbent include:Strong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to process multiple tasks with a high degree of accuracyAbility to take instruction from various sourcesAbility to prioritize tasksMaintain familiarity with relevant FDA/ICH guidelines and regulationsCommunicate effectively and with courtesy to internal and external staff and customers (investigative staff, vendors)

Training and Experience for the successful incumbent include:

 Previous work in pharmaceutical R&D with  knowledge of relavant FDA/ICH guidelines for the clinical development process is required.High school diploma or aboveProficiency in E-mail, Word, Excel, Power Point and OutlookGood communication skillsEffective organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and effectively process multiple tasksHigh degree of accuracy and attention to detail)
