Clinical Research Coordinator - Upper Gwynedd, PA - 12-Month Contract Opportunity

Yoh Scientific has a contract opening for a Clinical Research Coordinator in the Upper Gwynedd, PA area. Our customer is a global research-driven pharmaceutical company dedicated to putting patients first. They discover, develop, manufacture and market vaccines and medicines to address unmet medical needs.

Responsibilities:
• The Global Research Specialist will support the scientific aspects of the Global Investigator-initiated Studies Program (IISP).
• Primary role is to assist the IISP committee chairperson in carrying out the duties of the committee. The committee is responsible for reviewing pre-clinical and clinical study proposals submitted to the company.
• Ensure that study proposals submitted meet requirements for Committee review and that each application receives an objective and initial fair peer review.
• Act as the primary point of contact, and ensure the committee decisions are communicated to internal staff, physicians and subsidiaries.
• Ensure all approved studies are initiated, implemented, and completed within the time frame agreed upon according to the executed study agreement.
• Support investigators/institutions globally with the study planning, execution and close-out activities.
• Responsible for preparing committee meeting agendas, understanding and writing meeting minutes, communicating with physicians, staff and subsidiaries, preparing slides, managing budgets, and participating in meetings as needed.
• Read and understand proposals to ensure all aspects of the proposal are present and accounted for.
• Utilize databases when carrying out daily job duties.

Qualifications:
• Must understand scientific process and have familiarity with medical and statistical concepts.
• Must have strong analytic skills and problem solving skills.
• Desire to work independently and ability to seek guidance as needed.
• Must have good communication (verbal and written) and computer/database management skills.
• Experience as a member/contributor to cross functional, multicultural teams. 
• B.S. in Nursing, Biological Sciences, or related field.
• Experience in pre-clinical or clinical contract work ideal, including work as a clinical research associate or clinical project manager.
