Clinical/Staff Pharmacist * * * Up To $100,000

Clinical/Staff Pharmacist will ensure efficient and effective clinical and distributive pharmacy operations as well as demonstrate positive and professional communications with health care staff and patients. Salary: up to $100,000

Responsibilities:
> review patient profiles; ensure accuracy, appropriateness and proper dosage of medication orders in a timely manner
> communicate/consult with and educate patients, health care professionals, pharmacists, technicians
> ensure proper drug utilization by complying with drug use criteria and clinical pathways
> document clinical interventions (adverse drug reactions, drug interactions)
> attend educational meetings and present in-service programs
> maintain QI program, inventory levels and purchasing
> clarify and resolve problems with medication orders
> monitor intervention program medication therapies
> coordinate and review Technicians' activities
> assist with month end and special projects
> run billing and computer functions


Requirements:
> current Illinois Pharmacist license in good standing
> Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy; PharmD preferred
> ability to integrate clinical services, distributive services, education, and research activities
> flexibility to work weekend, holiday, night and on-call rotations as needed
> exhibit thorough knowledge of all age specific medication therapies
> ability to thrive in an intense environment with many interruptions
> outstanding communication rapport and team spirit
> highly attentive to details
