ColdFusion Web Developer

This is a hands-on developer position that will be responsible for extending an existing web and ecommerce sites. Tasks will include but are not limited to code development, unit tests, design documentation, and end user support. Essential Functions · Technical design documents based on functional requirements using software engineering best practices · Develop well written, commented code. · Perform unit testing on the web code · Follow good Model view controller and OOP principles that exhibit a high-level of reuse. · Actively participate and contribute to defining test scope, coverage, and overall strategy. · Ensure products meet or exceed the specified standards and end-user requirements. · May be required to perform other related duties as required and/or assigned. Education: Requires a bachelor’s degree in IT, Marketing, Business, or other related field. Experience: · Requires a minimum of 2-3 years experience with cold fusion MX (6.0) and application software development processes. · Requires a minimum 3 years of experience in a computer/technical field or equivalent knowledge. · Experience with Fusebox 3.0 or other model view controller architecture a plus. · Strong PC troubleshooting, problem-solving, and repair skills are a definite plus. · Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential, as is the ability to quickly learn new applications and technologies. · Candidate should be comfortable working in Windows 98/NT/2000/XP and have been exposed to a variety of desktop applications and Internet-related technologies. · Candidate must have thorough knowledge of the MS Office suite of products and a strong working knowledge of Internet browsers. · Experience with one or more of the following technologies and applications is a plus: programming (Visual Basic, C++, ColdFusion, Java J2EE), relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle) · Excellent oral and written communication skills, customer service skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment required.If you want to be considered for this job please email your resume in Word Format to seth.gravin@modisit.com   Job Reference Code: SG-CF Company: Modis, Inc.
