Contract Help Desk Support Specialist

Position Overview:

Helicos BioSciences Corporation is seeking a Help Desk Support Specialist to oversee day to day Help Desk operations, front line network management and new computer setup.  This is a six month contract role.

 

Primary Responsibilities: Ensure coverage of the Help Desk during normal business hours and after hours as neededPrioritize, address and complete help desk requests in a timely mannerEnsure software license complianceMaintain a high level of end user satisfaction Perform all moves, adds and changes related to employee computers, desk phones and wireless devices as needed 

QualificationsThree years of Help Desk experienceStrong knowledge of Windows XP and Office 2003Strong knowledge of TCP/IP and most networking fundamentalsStrong knowledge of personal computer hardware and related componentsExperience with managing users and groups using Active DirectorySarbanes Oxley compliance experience a plusHard drive imaging knowledge a plusPreferred experience with Windows 2003 Server, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Sharepoint, RIM Blackberry and Macintosh OS X software.
