Position Overview

We are looking for Corporate Counsel with a strong aptitude for business, and experience in general commercial and corporate law.  This is a new role in the company and a great opportunity to manage all legal aspects of our businesses while helping guide future growth initiatives.  We are a long-term focused business, and you will help bring the discipline and knowledge to our legal department to ensure we continue to prosper in the years ahead.  The Corporate Counsel reports directly to the CEO, and participates as a member of the senior management team in strategically and tactically leading our growing company.

 

 

Responsibilities

· Advising and supporting senior management

· Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts

· Supporting and advising business groups including business development, technology, and sales and marketing

· Resolving and negotiating disputes

· Managing outside counsel with regard to litigation

· Advising the company on employment matters

· Managing the company’s intellectual property

 

 

Requirements

·  JD from an accredited law school, with strong academic performance

· 3+ years of experience in a large law firm, preferably general corporate and transactional focused

· Excellent drafting skills

· Excellent communications and inter-personal skills

· Experience working with information service companies

· Software experience a plus
