Otsuka America Pharmaceutical, Inc. Otsuka is seeking a Corporate Attorney-Contracts who will work closely with clinical and commercial groups and will have responsibility for drafting, reviewing and negotiating clinical and commercial agreements and intellectual property transactions, as well as non-disclosure agreements, manufacturing contracts, and consulting agreements.

 

The specific duties of the Corporate Attorney- Contracts are as follows:Draft, review and negotiate clinical and commercial contracts and other types of agreements as needed Legal support for clinical and commercial development activitieslegal review of contracts, protocols, informed consents, scientific communications guidance for clinical and commercial project team activities to ensure compliance with company policies and legal/regulatory requirementsOther duties and responsibilities as assigned.

The successful candidate must meet the following minimum requirements:JD, bar admittance and minimum 3 years legal experience Strong organizational and writing skillsMust have working knowledge and experience in general corporate transactions, including substantial experience in contracts.Demonstrated ability to draft and negotiate contracts and to analyze, interpret and apply government regulations, guidances and requirements. Experience with FDA regulation of clinical trials, healthcare fraud and abuse laws, data privacy laws and regulations, contracts related to clinical trial activities and other aspects of development and commercialization of pharmaceutical and device products preferred.  A customer service orientation,  and the ability to manage multiple issues and tasks and to assume substantial responsibility are required. Willingness to support other attorneys when needed and demonstrated ability to work in a team environment also required.
