Both individual contributions and team successes are critical on the path to scientific and medical breakthroughs.Position Title: Corporate Counsel Department Name: Legal Affairs Location: Gaithersburg, MD Job ID Number: 00386Job Description: Represent internal Research and Development client groups with respect to transactional matters, primarily including drafting, reviewing and negotiating agreements including to research licenses of intellectual property, material transfer agreements for biological materials, clinical trial agreements, laboratory services agreements, consulting agreements, service agreements and other operating agreements for Research and Development client groups.Requirements/Qualifications: Education: J.D. from accredited law school and member of the bar of at least one U.S. state or the District of Columbia required and/or patent agent and/or Bachelor’s degree or higher in biological science field (biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, genetics, or similar).Experience: 3+ years of transactional experience at a reputable law firm, university technology transfer office, biotechnology company, NIH governmental or similar agency or with a clinical trial contract research organizationSpecial Skills/Abilities: Excellent organization skills, writing ability and interpersonal skills.
