Corporate Counsel/General Counsel

JOB PURPOSE/SUMMARY:

Provide legal services to all Kendle SBU and SUs.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide global legal services in the following areas: Assist Vice President and General Counsel as requested Drafting and negotiating agreements and amendments with customers and vendors Drafting and negotiating agreements pertaining to acquisitions; Securities compliance and related drafting Provide legal counsel to all Kendle SBU/SUs regarding (i) associate relations, (ii) associate benefits, (iii) customer relations, and (iv) vendor relations Provide legal counsel to management as requested Resolve disputes between Kendle and other entities Develop/manage assigned staff Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional organizations Focus on customer service and be a valuable consistent contributor to team efforts Interact with global internal and external personnel on projects that often require coordination and collaboration of associates and clients


QUALIFICATIONS:



JD degree with emphasis in general corporate law; 3-5 years experience in mergers and acquisitions, employment law, and negotiation and drafting; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
