Cost Accountant I (264140-560)

Supports all cost accounting processes and analysis for a multi-plant, global business unit. Provides finance support for San Antonio, OKC and Mansfield plants.

1. Review ECO's, BOM's and routings for plants. Update material master data required for costing and financial reporting. Perform cost rolls and update standard costs on all new parts released.

2. Work with Engineering & Materials teams to research and correct costing errors.

3. Assist cross-functional production teams with detailed analysis and troubleshooting of manufacturing variances, including MJV, PPV, absorption and spending.

4. Analyze and help identify key drivers of inventory issues such as E&O, WIP aging, scrap, etc.

5. Assist with analysis of distribution freight costs and subcontracting processes.

6. Assist with all aspects of annual budget process, including purchase price updates, costing simulations, margin analysis, spending budget input and roll-up, etc.

7. Update operations dashboard weekly and monthly with financial reporting metrics.

8. Perform journal entries for month-end closing process.

9. Run monthly spending reports and distribute to cost center managers.

10. Maintain variance amortization spreadsheet and reconcile to balance sheet accounts.

11. Assist with internal and external audits and other projects, as assigned.Required Skills:

B.S. in Accounting preferred.

2 - 3 years experience in a high volume manufacturing plant with multiple product lines and new product introductions.
