The candidate should have experience in a broad range of intellectual property matters, including trademark clearance, domestic and international trademark prosecution, trade dress issues, as well as experience in the management of a global IP portfolio, licensing, policing, and enforcement. The candidate should be able to work closely with the marketing, regulatory and senior management teams as well as local and foreign counsel. The candidate should have strong business experience including the negotiation of licensing and related commercial agreements. The candidate should have experience in prosecuting and resolving intellectual property related disputes.The position will report to the Division Counsel Trademarks and requires discretion, independent judgment and critical thinking skills. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of domestic and foreign trademark prosecution, be detail oriented, and have excellent writing and organizational skills. The candidate must be able to identify relevant legal issues and apply legal principles to provide strategic direction to internal clients and stakeholders. The ideal candidate must be able to manage multiple matters, set own work priorities and meet required work deadlines.Qualifications·Five plus (5+) years of trademark experience, in-house or law firm. ·Law degree from an ABA accredited law school and excellent academic credentials·Excellent team player, with superior inter-personal, verbal and written communication skills·Ability to exercise sound commercial and legal judgment, ability to handle multiple projects ·Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
