Customer Service Associate, Tethys Clinical Laboratory Position Summary

The Customer Service Associate is responsible for communications with customers regarding the Tethys Clinical Laboratory (TCL).  This includes helping new customers establish accounts and submit samples for testing, answering customer’s and prospective customer’s questions about TCL services and contacting customers to obtain additional information required by the TCL staff. Reporting Relationships ·  The Customer Service Associate reports to the VP of Medical Marketing·  The Customer Service Associate does not have any direct reports

·  Coordinates activities with Clinical Laboratory Scientists, other members of the TCL staff and members of the Marketing Department. Position Duties 1. Assist new customers with establishing accounts including;

a. Provide information on sample collection procedures and locations

b. Supply test request forms and other materials

2. Answer questions and resolve issues with sample submission3. Receive and respond to telephone inquiries and e-mail messages from customers

4. Contact customers when requested by TCL staff to obtain missing information regarding samples submitted for testing

5. In cooperation with the Marketing group, prepare and distribute promotional and informational literature regarding Tethys PreDx™ tests

6. Other duties as may be assigned from time to time

 
Working Conditions ·  Moderate lifting/bending, walking/time on feet.

·  Extended periods of computer work·  Laboratory environment may contain infectious material

·  Work schedule may be modified to meet operational requirements.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  Previous experience in laboratory-based customer service is preferred.  Will train the right person. Familiarity with marketing activities is desired.

Excellent written a verbal communication skills are required.
