KSR is currently seeking Cytogenetic Technologists at all levels (I, II, III, and Director level) to work for our client, a leader in the biotech industry, located in Phoenix, AZ. This is a great opportunity to work in a professional, goal-driven, team-oriented environment. The salary range is $40-100K/yr DOE and relocation assistance will be provided for candidates at all levels.Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:-Perform scanning and microscope analysis of chromosomes-Imaging and karyotyping of cytogenetic specimens-Sets up, harvests and bands slides for analysis-Scans slides, counts and analyzes selected spreads-Summarizes test results and may write case reports. -May perform all rotations in the laboratory -Reviews test requisition to gather pertinent details for analysis. -Distinguish between normal and abnormal test results. -Troubleshoots and works on improving lab procedures. -Independently performs all laboratory tasks designed to diagnose chromosomal abnormalities from patient specimens and process lab specimens -May perform independent projects (as approved) directed at development of new technologies or procedures -May train new technicians or technologists -Summarize test results utilizing ISCN nomenclature-Maintain clinical and internal documentation files -Other duties as assigned by supervisor.Our client requires the following experience, skills, and qualifications:-BS degree in scientific discipline-NCA certified Clinical Laboratory Specialist-The following years of experience based on level:*1-3 years relevant experience (Level I Cytogenetic Technologist)*4-6 years relevant experience (Level II Cytogenetic Technologist)*7-10 years relevant experience (Level III Cytogenetic Technologist)* More than 10 years relevant experience (Director Level Cytogenetic Technologist)If you are qualified for these positions at any of the levels stated above, please APPLY today by clicking the APPLY ONLINE or APPLY NOW button.
