Data Center Technician

The Data Center Operation functions will be delivered by our on-site team 7x24x365.  Data Center Operation Services will interact with our Support Desk operation to provide processes such as problem management and incident management.The Data Center Operations will also act as a liaison between Information Solutions Business Analysts, Database Administrators and Systems Engineers in problem resolution and system implementations as required.   Services Provided (including, but not limited to):
- Execute scheduled maintenance as defined by procedures.
- Installation of server hardware and O/S software as required.
- Provide incident management and will capture the incidents and all data pertinent to each incident in  the companies call management system.


The Data Center Technician will be responsible for daily tape rotation, restoration, and back-ups.  This Technician will also be responsible for server and application monitoring.  Some cabling and server racking is involved as well.

Hours per week: 40


The Data Center Technician position requires:
- 4+ years of IT support/ infrastructure experience
- 3+ years of Data Center experience
- Knowledge of SAP, UNIX servers, Windows servers, and Linux servers
- Experience specifically with tape back-ups and server monitoring
- Background check & drug screening
