This position provides consistent and reliable data throughout the Company?s relational database systems and will support and develop Stericycle?s Microsoft SQL Server database environment and related applications. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Administers Stericycle?s distributed SQL Server database environment, which includes over 150 SQL Servers distributed throughout North America. Coordinates all database activities including database replication, data population, clustering, log shipping, performance monitoring and tuning, and backups and recovery. Develops special applications to enhance and augment the company?s main application architecture, including being heavily involved with the eventual upgrade to Microsoft SQL Server 2005. Provides technical and functional support to end-users. Performs other related duties as required or requested. Demonstrates excellent knowledge of database administration, programming and analysis procedures. Seven or more years of proven experience with database administration in the Microsoft SQL Server environment, demonstrating a good knowledge of database software and operating systems, in addition to general knowledge of SQL Server 2005.
