Position Description:

The Maintenance manager position is responsible for the daily operations of the assigned personnel and budgetary input, along with the maintenance and continuous improvement of the preventative maintenance (PM), and program for the equipment/systems of the site and people assigned. The Manager is expected to ensure that these critical site utilities, general administration buildings, and production/R&D equipment/systems, are properly maintained as needed and to optimize the compliance, quality, safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of the services provided. Manage the needs of and maintain the various maintenance activities of the persons assigned, to support the site. This position must be able to react quickly to situations throughout the site and provide alternatives when problems occur by re-arranging existing and providing for additional resources and working with other site management to avoid product or research loss, maintain compliance, health & safety, protect company assets, improve operations of maintenance activities, and plan for future changes and requirements. Also, to work with other Maintenance managers to distribute resources wherever necessary for daily and tactical operations in conjunction with good communication with the customer departments. Finally, to be able to develop, implement and improve KPIs for assigned personnel and demonstrate and plan for needs of training, tools, and equipment to ensure that optimum equipment/system availability for the site needs. Develop personnel for increased company value and their personal satisfaction. Work with department teams to ensure success, and provide employee rewards and discipline where needed. Responsible for performance mtg, development activities for all assigned personnel on shift. Responsible for planning and managing of the execution phase of all assigned work orders.Responsible for all compliance and incident reporting for their respective shift schedule.Bachelors Degree with 3-5+ years pharmaceutical, manufacturing and maintenance, engineering, analytical & process development experience. The individual should have worked with Maintenance personnel for at least 1-3 years in a management position and have a good understanding of all trades, current best practices, developing and implementing policies, procedures and best practices, GMP, GLP, and common issues addressed by Maintenance. Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree with 3-5+ years pharmaceutical, manufacturing and maintenance, engineering, analytical & process development experience. The individual should have worked with Maintenance personnel for at least 1-3 years in a management position and have a good understanding of all trades, current best practices, developing and implementing policies, procedures and best practices, GMP, GLP, and common issues addressed by Maintenance. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to actively, and cooperatively work with cross functional teams.
